About Us

MAWAZO AFRICA is a web-based application designed by inABLE young coders who are direct beneficiaries of the novel assistive technology computer labs throughout their school life. This platform provides a safe space for the person with Disabilities to open up honestly on their mental wellbeing. The app also serves as a platform where the PWDs can engage and share ideas and available opportunities for the PWDs community. Stigma and discrimination associated with disabilities of various nature has led to loss of hope and even life among persons with disabilities. The app is also a sensitization stage for the community to understand the PWDs and the challenges they might be going through in their quest for independence and journey to achieve their life goals.
